Please don't consider me future PM: Rahul Gandhi VIJAYAWADA: Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday asked people not to consider him as future prime minister saying nobody could predict the future. "Please don't consider me as the future prime minister. Nobody can predict the future and what lies in store. Anybody can become the prime minister," he said interacting with about 1500 students at a college here. Rahul reacted in this manner when some students referred to him as the future prime minister. He said the current Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was doing a good job. Replying to a question on terrorism, the Congress said the country was dealing with the issue in accordance with the law. Rahul also answered questions on global warming, reservations and other issues.

Is Rahul Gandhi's Night Stay In Dalit Villages A Reality-Check Or A Gimmick?

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has spent another night in a Dalit village near Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, he had spent nights in other Dalit villages of UP. Even, British Foreign Secretary David Milliband once joined Rahul and spent a night in a village in UP to get a feel about poverty in India. Rahul Gandhi has political ambitions and he wants Congress to return to power in UP, now controlled by Dalit leader Mayawati. However, Rahul says that his stay in villages is really meant to understand the problems that the poor face.

AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi advised elected young MLAs from Maharashtra and Haryana, who were given tickets from the Youth Congress quota, to work for strengthening the organisation, keeping the 'Aam Admi' in focus in their work.Gandhi also discussed the recent assembly election results in these states with the young MLAs. He also promised to make a visit of Maharashtra soon where he has plans to further strengthen the party's youth wing.Four of the six Congress workers from the Youth Congress won their seats in Maharashtra while in Haryana one of the four could win. Rahul Gandhi coming on Nov. 18

HYDERABAD: AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit the State on November 18 to participate in interactive session with student community. Sources said Mr. Gandhi will arrive in the city on November 18 and proceed to Osmania University campus, where an interactive session is arranged with students at Tagore Auditorium. After that, he will fly to Vijayawada and participate in similar session at the Loyola College. Later in the afternoon, he will reach Tirupati to interact with students of Sri Venkateswara University. He will leave for New Delhi the same night. Sources said the main idea behind such interaction with the student community is to encourage them to join the National Students Union of India (NSUI), the students wing of the Congress party.
