3 Teenagers attack on Rahul's Train.

GHARAUNDA (HARYANA): Three teenagers were detained on Thursday for allegedly throwing stones at the train in which Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi was travelling on Tuesday evening, police said. "Based on our investigation, today (Thursday) we have detained three teenagers from Gharaunda village for questioning. The railway guard had said that the miscreants were in the age group of 16-17 years. So we are focusing on youngsters in the neighbouring villages," said inspector general of police (Rohtak) V Kamaraj. The official ruled out the possibility of political parties being involved in the incident. "Not at all, there is no political party involved in it. However, our investigation is still under progress and very soon we will nab the accused," Kamraj said. Visit to Dalit Village

Continuing his visits to Dalit households, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spent the night at a Dalit's house in a village in this district. Gandhi, who is on a surprise visit to the state, visited Ram Nagar area in Barabanki district yesterday. He then arrived to the district last evening and drove straight to Chutkaideh village under Rampur Devman Gram Panchayat area, a party worker said. After mingling with the locals, he spent the night in the house of a Dalit Gram Pradhan Chedi Pasi. The news of the visit by Rahul took the district officials by surprise who said that they had not been informed about his programme or itinerary. Gandhi is likely to visit a school in neighbouring Tilhar village today where he will meet with the children and the locals to get the first hand account of their problem, the worker added.

Making its displeasure on Rahul’s latest forays in the state amply clear the state government is preparing to take up the issue such surprise visits with the centre on the ground that they amount a security lapse and pose a serious threat if the state administration is not taken into confidence.
