RAHUL GANDHI

The Congress general secretary, Member of Parliament India, grandson of Former Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi, and son of Former Prime Minister Shri. Rajiv Gandhi is on tour of Wellington for two days. There he met with New Zealand Indian Central Association Head Ratilal Champaneri and General Secretary Veer Khar yesterday in the capital and presented him with a replica of “Early Settlers” in the meeting at Government residence. Early on Settlers is a book concerning Indian Settlers in New Zealand authored by study researcher Jacqueline Leckie who wrote the book for NZICA. The book was in print by Otago University Press in 2007. NZICA evaluated Mr Gandhi regarding the Indian Diaspora in New Zealand and admired him for his meeting with rustic India. Rahul Gandhi will be present at one more official appointment at the Beehive in the present day.
