Rahul Gandhi Surprise visit to Gujrat

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi visited Gujarat on Tuesday. This was his surprise visit caught everyone when he came to Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) the main office at the milk town of Anand in Gujarat.

Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi visited IRMA about 11 a.m. and was in the institution, which is endorsed by the NDDB (National Dairy Development Board), till approximately 5.30 p.m. previous to departing for New Delhi, IRMA resources confirmed IANS.

Heavy safety was arranged at the major entry gate of the institute and the reach was out of limits for the Press and Media.

TUMKUR: AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi made a strong pitch for women's empowerment at his rally on Sunday, and said it's the only way for the country to become a superpower. Addressing a women's rally at Tumkur, 70km from Bangalore, Rahul said the country today was half a superpower because women had not been given equal status. "India will not become a superpower if women aren't given opportunities. We need equal representation for women at all levels to make them empowered," he told a mammoth gathering.
